Still Fun – Activities Within A Budget

Team building is a common thing being done in school or work. It fosters and develops communication, teamwork, coordination, and increased productivity. These activities lessen stress and lessen possibilities of conflicts with other members as well. There are a mutual respect and loyalty that is derived from these activities.

However, most believe that to have a good and effective activity, one must have the money to spend it. That, however, is not a problem. There are team building activities that cost less or none at all but still, gives you the desired results.

Here are some team building activities that can be done if you’re on a budget.

Volunteer

Working for a cause and working together for that cause will help see another side a team member. It will help better employees to better understand each other thus resulting in a better work relationship and better understanding how everyone else can work with each other.

Scavenger Hunts

Go on a scavenger hunt. Theme it as the organisers want, pattern it from famous games with scavenger hunts as the form of the game, have rules and challenges that you want to have the teams do. No matter what, the same goal is still kept in mind, to have the teams develop their communication, strategy building, trust and coordination skills with each other.

Themed Potlucks

Food will never let the team down. Food and drinks in front of the team will get the conversation going and people will learn more about each other.

Races and Adventures

Do an Amazing Race with your team with your own style and own challenges. It’s fun, it’s challenging, it’s something that can develop your team according to what is needed by the team. Different ideas, different themes, one goal. Is your team up to the challenge?

Host a Game Day

Have a member of your team host a game in the own homes to create a more personal feel. A classic card game or board game can be done.

These are just examples of possible team building activities that can be done even with a small budget. Be creative and remember the goal of the activity, one can come up with something good and fun to do!
